THE NATION & THE NET | A Vision in Prayer

🙏🏻 Back in June, I was praying at church about mine and Nicki’s new role as National Convenors for the United States Coalition of Apostolic Leaders (USCAL).

While praying, I saw what appeared to be a fish net draped over a map of the United States. I knew this had something to do with our assignment. 🤔

Naturally, I thought about catching fish with this net – like I and many others have talked about over the years. You catch more fish with nets and fishing poles, right?
It makes sense. 🎣

Yet, as I pondered what I had seen, my heart sank.

I got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I had this thought:

🐟 EVER WONDER WHAT THE FISH THINKS ABOUT THE NET? 🐠

Think of it, some nice fish is just swimming along enjoying his best life now 😉 when all of a sudden…

…they are caught up in something they don’t understand. They can’t get away. They are hoisted up into a strange and confusing environment. They can’t breathe. They can’t move. They feel extraordinarily heavy…

…and then they are cut up and consumed!

Yikes!
Ever feel like this fish?

Unfortunately, many leaders have! This has been their experience in many apostolic networks in the past.

Many apostolic leaders have been subject to abusive control by insecure and unscrupulous leaders who have used people to promote themselves and their self-aggrandizing agendas.

For those caught in these nets, they feel manipulated, confused, and consumed.
Back to the vision…

Just about the time I was ready to attribute what I saw to too much pizza 🍕, the Lord spoke to me and said something very significant.

This was not a FISHING net!

This was a SAFETY net!

WOW! What a difference that made!!!

The Lord showed me that each place where the net was tied represents a relationship between apostolic leaders across the country!

Which reminded me of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Have you ever heard this story?

One innovation used in its construction was a safety net. It was generally accepted as an industry standard that 1 man would die per million dollars spent on such a project. With an estimated 35 million dollars cost, 35 men were expected to fall to their deaths.

However, with a safety net in place to catch them, only 19 men fell during construction! Almost half the number as expected!

And they all lived! 💪🏻

Not only that, but this bridge was built 4X faster than anyone had anticipated – including its engineer, Joseph Strauss!

HERE’S THE LESSON…

People work better and faster when there is a safety net beneath them.

This is why Nicki and I and our team of Regional Convenors, Coordinators and Hosts in USCAL are working diligently and praying daily that we might help construct a relational safety net across the United States for apostolic and prophetic leaders and their spouses.

I think our movement needs it!

Each place where the net is tied represents a relationship, strong and secure.

Imagine hundreds of leaders across the country locking arms, voluntarily creating a relational safety net over which all of us can labor with confidence and efficiency, knowing that we are part of a spiritual family that is connected across the nation!

🔥 This is our dream!

🔥 This is our goal!

We hope you join us!
